Tight Rounds on the Response of Multivariable Systems with Component Uncertainty,

Abstract

For Multi-Input-Multi-Output (MIMO) feedback systems having internal components that are subject to parameter variations, nonlinearity, or unmodeled dynamics within given 'conic sector' bounds, tight bounds (which also turn out to take the form of 'conic sector' bounds) are derived for the input-output relation of the closed-loop system. Inthe case of linear-time invariant systems, the 'conic sector' bounds are interpretable in terms of the maximal singular values of certain frequency-response matrices. (Author)
