Analysis of Scattering and Radiation of Acoustic Waves from an Axisymmetric Structure in an Infinite Fluid Medium.

Abstract

Analysis of scattering and radiation of acoustic waves from an axisymmetric structure in an infinite fluid medium is presented. It is shown that the use of a basis function, consistent with the one used for axisymmetric pressure on the finite surface, yields accurate results and uses fewer finite surface elements than does piston-type analysis.
