Analytic Continuation of Solutions to Linear Partial Differential Equations.

Abstract

In this paper we shall indicate some of the current directions in the study of the analytic continuation of solutions to partial differential equations. Our intended audience is not only those mathematicians working in the area of partial differential equations, but also complex analysts interested in seeing how a major topic in the theory of analytic functions can be extended to include certain classes of linear partial differential equations. Our specific aim is to provide a survey of the general area of the analytic continuation of solutions to partial differential equations and their applications.
