Cyclic Fluorosilicone Polymers and Copolymers.

Abstract

Several reactions were examined as potential routes to reactive cylic tetrasiloxanes and their precursors. The reactions examined in some detail were cohydrolysis, siloxy-chloride exhange, hydorlysis of triple bond SiCl, triple bond SiOMe and triple bond SiH and acetoxy-silanol condensations. Using these reactions several intermediates were prepared and the new compounds were characterized.
