A Relational-Based Data Management System for Engineering and Scientific Application.

Abstract

The description and development of a user friendly Data Management System based on the relational data model is presented. The system is a self-contained Data Management System programmed in FORTRAN for the Interdata 8/32. A file system, inquiry language, and a demonstration of the operational system is also presented. The system is intended for use in a scientific and engineering environment designed for the casual user. Background data and a general discussion of data models are also included. (Author)
