Standard Obstacles

Abstract

This report provides a method for evaluation of obstacle-negotiating capability. It describes procedures for bridging, wall climbing, trench crossing, frame twisting, and aircraft/landing-craft loading-ramp tests. It discusses obstacle courses to include a profile sketch of each but excludes slope, fording, washboard, and other standard obstacle tests covered in other TOP's. It is applicable to all military vehicles. It addresses obstacles in DARCOM Mobility Model.
