Data Collection Methods for Sand Inventory-Type Surveys.

Abstract

During recent years the shallow areas of the Continental Shelf have been found to be a potential source for suitable sand for beach-fill projects. This report describes the techniques and methods used in the planning and implementation of the data collection effort associated with surveys conducted to locate and delineate offshore sand sources for beach-fill projects.
