National Dam Safety Program. Seeley's Pond Dam (NJ00368) Raritan River Basin, Blue Brook, Union County, New Jersey. Phase I Inspection Program.

Abstract

Based on visual inspection, available records, calculations and past operational performance, Seeley's Pond Dam, initially listed as a 'high' hazard potential structure, but reduced to a 'significant' hazard potential structure as a result of this inspection, is judged to be in fair overall condition. The dam's spillway is considered inadequate because a flow equivalent to 40 percent of the 100-year flood would cause the dam to be overtopped.
