Photocatalytic Production of Hydrogen from Water and Texas Lignite Using a Platinized Titania Catalyst.
Abstract
Using a physical mixture of powdered Texas lignite and platinized titania in the presence of water vapor and ultraviolet light, we show that a catalytic reaction occurs at 23 C to form hydrogen and carbon dioxide. These results are contrasted with a recent electrochemical conversion process. (Author)
