System Description for the Airborne-Omega Data Bank,

Abstract

The Airborne-Omega Data Bank has been established at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Technical Center. Its main objective is to provide a centralized repository for operational airborne-Omega data so that performance which is representative of the majority of production airborne-Omega navigation equipments under various ionospheric conditions (including high solar activity) may be evaluated. Details of the methods developed for data collection, processing, and reporting are documented in this report. Current status and plans for the near future are discussed. (Author)
