Climate Variations and Variability: Facts and Theories.

Abstract

A NATO-sponsored advanced study institute on climate variability was held in Erice, Italy (near Palermo, Sicily), 9-12 March 1980. Twenty-seven lecturers spoke to 76 other participants. Every facet of climate, its variability, and effects of variability on man were discussed. The majority of the papers presented were tutorial reviews based on published papers. Several of these papers are referenced in this report, while the body of this report concerns papers that were reporting unpublished research. (Author)
