Assessment of Frequency Selective Fading on DCS Transmission System Performance. Report Number 1.
Abstract
Recent reassessments of digital LOS transmission systems indicate that transmission is affected by more than power fading alone. Tests showed that extensive inband amplitude and phase distortion occur during even relatively shallow fades. To facilitate the study of these phenomena, a hybrid computer simulation of the AN/FRC-( ) ( ) DCS Digital Radio was developed, and is described in this EP. (Author)
