Physics of Sports - The Forward Pass.

Abstract

The use of the physics of sports has become increasingly popular in recent years in teaching physics. This article uses Lagrange's Equation for a non-conservative holonomic system to develop a mathematical model for the forward pass. The model is used to analyze the motion of the football during flight.
