Performance of Multiple-Disk-Rotor Pumps with Varied Interdisk Spacings

Abstract

Disk-rotor pumps having various configurations with interdisk spacings ranging from 0.006 to 0.26 inch (0.15 to 6.6 millimeters) were investigated at operating speeds from 3550 to 7000 revolutions per minute. Operation data for the pumps with the various rotors is included. Good performance at wide interdisk spacings was obtained.
