Present and Future Trends in Signal Processing Technologies.

Abstract

This report provides a quick overview of various signal processing technologies and evaluates their impact on modern radar design in the 1980's. Although primary emphasis is placed on conventional solid-state technologies, a serious effort has been made to review more exotic physical phenomena and related technologies which have attracted, recently, a great deal of interest and are no longer viewed as scientific curiosities. The later group includes surface acoustic waves (SAW), charge-coupled devices (CCD), magnetic bubble memories (MBM), Josephson junction (JJ) devices, and acousto-optics.
