Dynamics of the Chemistry of Electronically Excited Atoms in Defined Quantum States.

Abstract

The work described here involved the study of halogen atom production and removal following photodissociation of halogens, pseudohalogens and halides. Both collisional quenching and chemical reaction were seen. Electronic angular momentum conservation led to state-selective chemistry. (Author)
