Abstract

Discusses the role of defence-related research and development policy and programs as it affects the preparedness of Canada and its allies to be sensitive to the ever-changing threats to national security and to reduce the element of technological surprise. Suggestions are made for increased industrial participation in defence preparedness. (Author)
