U.S. Coast Guard Flotation Standard Test Procedure.

Abstract

This report describes in detail a Flotation Standard Test Procedure for boats rated for outboard engines larger than two horsepower, boats rated for outboard engines two horsepower or less, for inboard boats, inboard-outdrive boats and airboats and a flotation materials test. The Flotation Standard Test Procedure is designed to determine whether or not a given boat meets the flotation requirements outlined in the Federal Boat Safety Act of 1971 (P.
