Availability/Operational Readiness Test Subsystem Cost Trade-Offs.

Abstract

This report describes the general test subsystem practices and tradeoff criteria that will make it possible for an equipment's or system's availability (or operational readiness) requirements to be met through the most cost effective usage of fault diagnosis/isolation/test subsystems that are used in conjunction with the maintenance of the equipment. The trade-off criteria are intended for use in planning the acquisition of new equipments and systems and to provide more accurate assessment of total life-cycle cost. (Author)
