Sea Trials of the Damped Vibration Absorber Fitted to H.M.A.S. Tarakan.

Abstract

A damped vibration absorber, similar to those previously installed on H.M.A.S Balikpapan and H.M.A.S. Brunei, has been fitted to H.M.A.S. Tarakan. Some changes to the installation have been made, and tests carried out to prove the effectiveness of these changes. The reasons for the changes, and details of the tests, are described. (Author)
