Navy Computer Accreditation Study

Abstract

This report documents 'The Navy Computer Accreditation Study' performed by the IBM Federal Systems Division for the Assistant Secretary of the Navy, Office of Naval Research, under Contract N00014-79-C-0986. The primary objectives of this study was for IBM to: Examine accreditation concept candidates; Define a meaningful policy and management framework for future Navy needs; Provide, where possible, specific details to put into the policy/ management structure; Support the proposed accreditation approach with rationale and analysis.
