XM803 Yawsonde Reduction

Abstract

Twelve yawsonde-instrumented XM803 projectiles were tested at Dugway Proving Ground, Utah, on 13 June 1978. All projectiles exhibited stable flights for high subsonic launch conditions when fired from the M198 and M109A1 systems. The XM803 is a member of the 155mm M483A1 family of shell and carries red phosphorous.
