Dual-Radioassay Technique: Indium-Chromium Mixture.

Abstract

Simultaneous radioassay of Cr-51 with In-111 and with In-114m has been investigated. Data presented here demonstrate the efficacy of using In-114m in a dual radioassay with Cr-51, a radiolabel presently employed in many cellular research applications. In-111 (T 1/2, 2.81 days) has recently received attention in clinical studies even though it has less than satisfactory physical characteristics for dual-radioisotope and long-term recirculation studies. In-114m (T 1/2, 50.1 days) offers the advantage of long-term in vivo and in vitro monitoring needed for dual-radioisotope studies on cell recirculation. (Author)
