Abstract

The purpose of this document is to present some of the more important literature on the topic area of child-environment interactions which is relevant to the planning and design of child-support facilities (infant centers, child-care centers, early childhood development centers, and preschools) and of outdoor play areas (playground community-based play, and play in residential settings).
