Flood Plain Information Colorado River-Onion Creek to Montopolis Bridge, Austin, Texas

Abstract

Flood plains along the Colorado River are primarily rural, being sparsely populated, and have extensive areas of open space that may come under pressure for future development. Although floods have occurred in the past, studies indicate even larger floods are possible, causing extensive property damage and even loss of life.
