Statistical Considerations in Control Models with Applications

Abstract

Many applications of control theory, specially in areas other than engineering, require the estimation of the system equations from available data. Applications from patient care system, effect of air pollution on health and dynamic economic models are discussed. A framework is studied in which the control model can be applied using the data provided by the system itself. Special objective functions are utilized to illustrate the technique. (Author)
