Design of a Fiber Optic Data Link for the Ground Launched Cruise Missile.

Abstract

This report examines the feasibility of using fiber optic data links to connect the operating units of the Ground Launched Cruise Missile Weapons Control System. The conclusion is reached that the necessary technology to implement such a design is either presently available or will become available by mid-1980. (Author)
