Uncoupling Approximation in Fluid-Structure Interaction Problems with Cavitation.

Abstract

Linear and nonlinear methods are presented for the decoupling of fluid-structure interaction problems in which cavitation occurs. These methods are tested against a one-dimensional case with a known solution. On this basis the nonlinear approach is recommended for use in multi-dimensional problems and an algorithm for its implementation is given. (Author)
