Verification Test of the Battronic Mini Van.

Abstract

The Battronic Mini Van Model M065MLB, an electric two-passenger multipurpose van, was tested at MERADCOM to verify conformity to the Department of Energy Performance Standards for Demonstrations, published in the Federal Register, 30 May 1978, Part V. The Battronic Mini Van is manufactured in Boyertown, Pennsylvania, by Battronic, Inc. It is powered by two 56-volt lead-acid batteries that are connected to the motor through an SCR control actuated by a foot pedal to control motor speed. The 42-horsepower motor drives the rear wheels through a direct drive to the differential. Regenerative braking is provided. (Author)
