Energy Conservation and Management Study of Aircraft Hangars at Selected Air Force Bases.

Abstract

Most existing Air Force aircraft hangars were not originally designed to conserve energy according to present criteria. This study determines the sources of energy waste in hangars at three representative bases, quantifies the losses, and analyzes the economic feasibility of various retrofit ideas to reduce losses.
