LGM-30B, Stage II Dissected Motors Test Report,

Abstract

This report contains the data obtained from testing propellant and case bond materials from two dissected Minuteman Stage II motors. The tests conducted were in accordance with Service Engineering (MMWRME) General Test Directive GTD-1 Dissect dated 28 June 1974. The directive specifies the tests required to elucidate any age induced problems which may affect the service life of the Stage II motor. Linear regression analysis was used to indicate trends of the test parameters. A representative regression plot was made of several parameters with each motor tested to date identified by different symbols. The regression analysis normally verified the trends established during the last test phase. Although there were a few trends which changed from significant to non-significant and a few that changed from non-significant to significant it does not seem likely that any problems of major concern are apparent at this time.
