Lithium-Thionyl Chloride Battery.

Abstract

We have delivered 100 D cells to the sponsor. The cell has also been tested for capacity retention after abusive storage at 72 degrees C. We demonstrated the safety of the flat cylindrical cell during over discharge and voltage reversal at the 3.2A and 20A rates of the GLLD cell. We also studied the rate capability retention of the flat cell after storage. (Author)
