Computational Difficulties in the Identification and Optimization of Control Systems.
Abstract
As more realistic models for resource management are developed, the need for efficient computational techniques for parameter estimation and optimal control involving nonlinear vector systems will grow. This report discusses some of the difficulties associated with such computational schemes and also report on results available for identification and control of several classes of systems which are of increasing importance in a number of areas of applications.
