Estimation of the Ratio of Scale Parameters in the Two Sample Problem with Arbitrary Right Censorship.

Abstract

A two-sample version of the Cramer-von Mises statistic for right censored observations is used to obtain an estimator of the ratio of scale parameters of two distributions. It is shown that this estimator is consistent. For small samples, simulations are performed which show the superiority of the estimator over the maximum likelihood estimator for exponential distributions. (Author)
