A Very Low Energy Electrostatic Analyzer,

Abstract

An electrostatic analyzer is described that can be applied to obtaining the differential energy spectrum of very low energy ions or electrons in the energy range 1 to 100 eV. This instrument is designed to operate at magnetic field strengths up to 0.5 gauss and is adaptable to construction as an array of sensing elements. (Author)
