Propagation in a Tropospheric Duct with a Single-Step Discontinuity in the Refractive Index in the Direction of Propagation.

Abstract

A Green's function approach is used to derive an expression for the field inside a laterally inhomogeneous duct. The laterally inhomogeneous duct is assumed to have a single step, and convergence criteria for the step size and number of modes are discussed. (Author)
