On Mutation.

Abstract

Program Mutation is a method for testing computer programs which is effective at uncovering errors and is less expensive to apply than other techniques. Working mutation systems have demonstrated that mutation analysis can be performed at an attractive cost on realistic programs. In this work, the effectiveness of the method is studied by experiments with programs in the target application spaces. (Author)
