Repetitive Molecular Exclusion Chromatography of PGBx on Sephadex LH-20.

Abstract

PGBx, a mixture of oligomers of 15-keto PGB1, was subjected to repetitive MEC on Sephadex LH-20 in an attempt to separate and purify the active principle. The resulting fractions were analyzed and found still to be heterogeneous. Although the MEC technique did not resolve the PGBX complex, low molecular weight fractions were obtained that may be amenable to mass spectral analysis. (Author)
