On the Use of Fisher's Linear Discriminant for Image Segmentation.

Abstract

Further experimental results are reported on the use of Fisher's linear discriminant for segmentation of infrared images and reconnaissance images. Theoretical error probability computed compares very favorably with the experimental percentage misclassification. (Author)
