Manufacturing Methods and Technology for Optical Fabrication.

Abstract

The major tasks of this program consist of delivery of samples produced by four different processes representing conventional, precision machining and form-to-shape approaches; delivery of 36 lenses made by the most cost-effective approach; delivery of four aspheric aluminum mirrors produced by single point diamond turning; and delivery of eight sets of optical elements that have been assembled and tested.
