Measurement of the Harmonic Content Across a Bounded Ultrasonic Beam.

Abstract

An experimental technique was designed to map the fundamental and harmonic sound amplitudes across a bounded beam for different distances from the source. The measured profiles reflect the influences of competing mechanisms such as nonlinearity, dissipation, and diffraction in a liquid medium. (Author)
