An Appraisal of the Ternary System BaO-CaO-Al2O3.

Abstract

A literature search on the ternary phase diagram for the BaO-CaO-Al2O3 system has been undertaken in order to improve understanding of the behavior of cathode impregnants. The available information has been integrated and extensively interpreted, thereby providing a framework for the interpretation of materials problems in impregnant manufacture and cathode operation. The x-ray diffraction patterns of six new compounds have been indexed. One alleged compound in this system has been reinterpreted as a solid solution. (Author)
