Laser Excitation of Fluorescence in the A-X System of NH

Abstract

Laser excited fluorescence has been observed for the A triplet pi -X triplet sigma minus system of the NH radical in a discharge flow system of ammonia in molecular nitrogen or argon. About 100 lines have been catalogued for the (1,0) band near 305.0 nm and the (0,0) band near 336.0 nm. This report presents a list of the line positions and figures of the excitation scans carried out using a laser bandwidth of approximately 0.34 wavenumbers.
