A Qualitative Theoretical Characterization of High Energy Excitation Cross Sections.

Abstract

An information theoretic approach is used to calculate the cross sections for the vibrational excitation of H2O and CO2 by atomic oxygen. The calculational results are shown to compare quite well with existing experimental data. (Author)
