Division Real Time Applications Report (DIVRAS), Software Functional Description.

Abstract

This document contains functional requirements for two application areas and their external interfaces that are candidates for inclusion in the Army's Tactical Operations System (TOS) at division level. The Targeting and Maneuver Applications comprise the Division Real-Time Applications (DIVRAS). The DIVRAS functional requirements are specified in terms of these three areas: (1) External Interfaces, (2) Targeting Application, and (3) Maneuver Application. Further definition of software functions necessary to implement these applications is provided in the form of detailed descriptions of three major subsystems: (1) Communications Processing, (2) Data Base Management, and (3) Graphics Processing. The application functions provide a user oriented definition of the processes necessary to accomplish the real-time targeting and maneuver display activities; the software support functions offer representative processing capabilities necessary to support the applications.
