One- and Two-Photon Optically Pumped Laser Devices: New Chemical Laser Diagnostics and Kinetic Probes.

Abstract

Research programs in four general areas have resulted in publication of 16 papers, with 10 more in preparation. These areas include: optically pumped I2 B-X electronic transition laser; laser spectroscopy of alkaline earth halides; development of a new technique, Stimulated Emission Pumping, by which highly excited vibrational levels of combustion species may be selectively prepared and examined; optically pumped Na2 B-X laser.
