Estimated Effect on Projectile Flight Stability of an Interior Cantilever Beam

Abstract

Results of a published theory of the effect of a moving internal part on the angular motion of a spinning projectile are summarized and applied to a projectile with an internal cantilever beam. An example of a 155mm shell is worked out in detail.
