Application of Numerical Optimization to Drive Shaft Design.

Abstract

The application of numerical optimization techniques to the design of drive shafts is demonstrated. The analysis investigated the effects of a small mass imbalance in conjunction with the rotation of a shaft with synchronous whirl. (Author)
