Abstract

The purpose of the Provisioning Manual is to establish the Marine Corps basic policy concerning the actions to be taken to insure adequate and timely initial support for the introduction of new weapons systems and equipments into the Marine Corps. Within those essential provisioning actions to be taken is the identification, computation, acquisition and positioning of initial spares (reparable components)/repair parts that are necessary to insure that the Fleet Marine Forces realize a high degree of availability of the new end-items during their introductory period.
