Study of Digital Matching of Dissimilar Images.

Abstract

This final report presents the results of a study conducted for the U.S. Army Engineering Topographic Laboratories on the digital matching of dissimilar images. This report develops a practical approach for the digital determination of corresponding points on dissimilar images. This approach could be used to register a large number of points automatically in a reasonably short period of time. The algorithms required are presented in a manner that can be coded in FORTRAN IV and tested on the DIAL facility at USAETL. (Author)
